The movie, HAT for TAD, tells the story of a young man for whom all the people have gone. Tad lives in an empty city of his imagination. One day he finds a hat and the hat talks with him. Tad shares his fears and dreams with the hat. The story explores Tad's world view and his beginning steps to rediscover that the world does have people in it. HAT for TAD was developed to be used in health science education by a team of physicians, a nurse, psychologists, a chiropractor, and an occupational therapist. The movie has been used with groups of students dealing with community-based mental health services, and the roles of providers in inter-professional referrals and care coordination.
