This heart warming, family movie takes just outside Paris where Mathilde, a precocious ten year old girl and her mother, Helene, live a life of solitude. Mathilde stumbled upon secrets of her grandfather, Paul, that had driven a wedge between mother and daughter long ago. After confronting Paul about his hidden past, he sets out with little Mathilde to right his wrongs and repair relations between Helene and her mother. Helene learns what has happened, and sets out on a journey to find the duo as resentment grows toward her father. A bittersweet reunion unites this family, and grandfather again finds joy in life.
