This is a 2002 Brazilian crime drama. It chronicles the lives of three young women and their mother. Filomena is a hard working, honest woman that breaks off her engagement to Firmino, a drug dealer, and marries his rival instead. Later Firmino exacts his revenge by killing Filomena's husband and her two male sons. So Filomena sends Maria Pia, Maria Rosa and Maria Francisca, her three remaining daughters, to hunt down the responsible people for murdering her family.

However, the people they find aren't the right ones, so the three Marias prepare to act in a vengeful manner, an eye for an eye.
