Watch Impact

Impact is a 2008 television miniseries in which a gigantic meteor collides with and nearly destroys the moon. At first it does not appear the incident will over harshly effect earth. Soon, however, various oddities in earth's atmosphere begin to transpire. Upon further investigation scientists find that the collision had altered several imperative aspects of the moon thus harkening the erratic behavior.

The adverse effects don't stop as the scientists had hoped. Instead, they heighten to catastrophic levels. This is climaxed by the worst scenario of all: the entire moon itself moving in on another collision--this time with earth. In an effort to fix the threat of human extinction, all the nations in the world unite in a common goal. An elite team is quickly assembled to travel to the moon in a last ditch plan to set things aright. Can they save the future of the human race? Can they restore the proper balance of the Solar System?
