The Drew Carey Show is a sitcom produced by Warner Bros. that aired from 1995 to 2004 on ABC. The show stars Drew Carey as Drew Carey, a fictionalized version of himself, and follows his daily life and workplace antics in Cleveland, Ohio. Carey's character is a working-class, middle-aged man who works at Winfred-Louder, a fictitious department store. Carey's best friend is Lewis, played by Diedrich Bader, and the two frequently engage in humorous but often absurd shenanigans. Ryan Stiles, known for his improv work on Whose Line Is It Anyway?, plays Drew's other best friend, a perpetually unemployed man named Oswald who lives with his mother.

Christa Miller plays Kate O'Brien, who initially works as Drew's sworn enemy at Winfred-Louder but eventually becomes his love interest. Kathy Kinney plays Mimi, the office's eccentric makeup-wearing assistant who frequently antagonizes Drew.

Craig Ferguson, who would later go on to host The Late Late Show, plays Nigel Wick, the English-born, sarcastic boss who pushes Drew to his limits. John Carroll Lynch plays Steve Carey, Drew's brother who is a crossdresser and eventually comes out to his family. Cynthia Watros plays Kellie Newmark, Drew's on-again-off-again girlfriend who works in the store's personnel department. Robert Torti plays Jay Clemens, Drew's neighbor who often drops by unannounced.

Other notable recurring characters include Ian Gomez as Larry Almada, a Winfred-Louder employee with a thick accent; Kevin Pollak as Barth Gimble, a daytime talk show host and Drew's arch-nemesis; Nan Martin as Mrs. Louder, the store's owner and Drew's boss; Katy Selverstone as Lisa Robbins, a love interest for Oswald; Jonathan Mangum as Drew's nemesis at Buzz Beer, a brewery he starts with his friends; Kelly Perine as Drew's neighbor, and Marion Ross as Drew and Steve's mother.

The show's humor is often observational and absurd, with Drew frequently acting as the straight man to his friends' antics. Episodes frequently involve workplace politics, romantic entanglements, and run-ins with authority figures. The show also tackles more serious issues, such as addiction, infertility, and sexuality, but often manages to do so with a lighthearted touch.

The Drew Carey Show was praised for its strong comedic cast and its ability to blend slapstick and sarcastic humor. Drew Carey's deadpan delivery and self-deprecating sense of humor were also widely praised. The show's theme song, "Moon Over Parma," was written and performed by Drew Carey and became a popular hit in its own right.

The show lasted for nine seasons and 233 episodes, making it one of the longest-running sitcoms of the 1990s and early 2000s. The show's popularity led to numerous guest appearances from other well-known celebrities of the time, including Sarah Silverman, Kathy Griffin, and John Ratzenberger. The show also helped launch the career of Craig Ferguson, who later became a talk show host in his own right.

Overall, The Drew Carey Show is a beloved sitcom that remains a classic in the annals of television history. Its strong cast and sharp writing continue to make it a fan favorite to this day.

The Drew Carey Show is a series that ran for 9 seasons (215 episodes) between September 13, 1995 and on Warner Bros.
